 Hello friends  We had seen my last blog about Power station and their some type. In this blog we are study about most important part of Power Plant.That name is Switch Yard. Now question is raised in  your mind! What is switch yard? Switch yard is also known as switching station that connect a power plant to its transmission system. Switch yard is considered the heart of power plant. It is function as mediator between electricity generation system to distribution network/ path. In power plant, switch yard is crucial component of electrical grid infrastructure. It is where electrical power generated by plant is transferred to the transmission network. Now we will discuss about types of Power Plant/ Power Station. 1) Thermal Power Plant Fig. Block diagram of Thermal Power Plant  Thermal Power Plant is deals with type of Power station which is convert heat energy into electrical energy. It Convert heat energy released to burning the fossil fuels (Coal) into electrical energy. In the Thermal Power Plant coal is burnt in boilers and Use heat energy boil water  producing the pressurized steams, and that steams rotating the turbine.
