Now question is raised in  your mind! What is switch yard? Switch yard is also known as switching station that connect a power plant to its transmission system. Switch yard is considered the heart of power plant. It is function as mediator between electricity generation system to distribution network/ path. In power plant, switch yard is crucial component of electrical grid infrastructure. It is where electrical power generated by plant is transferred to the transmission network. Switch yard serve as the interface between the power plant and the transmission line that carry electricity to substation & ultimately to consumer. It Convert heat energy released to burning the fossil fuels (Coal) into electrical energy.
